Beginners' Night

GWEFC will be holding an introduction to fencing course on Thursday 26 May.  Give us two hours of your time and we will teach you how to fence.  Bring a friend - it's better to learn together.

Also an oppertunity for those who have attended previous Beginners' Nights to refresh their memory about fencing.

Cally Hall Unavailable

Caledonian University have advised us that we are unable to train at the ARC on the following dates

  • 28th Apr
  • 5th May
  • 12th May

The main hall is required to be used for exams on those dates.

Extended Christmas Break

Our last night training this year will be Thursday 10th December. Unfortunately, due to Caledonian University needing the hall for exams, we will not start back until Thursday 21st January 2016.

Xmas Night Out

As has become our tradition, our final night of fencing training this year (Thursday 17th Dec) will be replaced by a social night out at the Atholl Arms in Renfield Street.

The pub serves a selection of meals and drinks.  We might even talk about fencing too.

New Beginners Welcome

It was great to see so many of our new beginners back for training last week.

If you want to join them, come along any Thursday evening - it is an ideal time to join, even if you didn't manage to attend our Beginners Night, it is great to have a group of people learning together.
