GWEFC will start back at 7:30 pm on Thursday 12th January.

Happy to welcome new beginners and our regular members.

As usual, we will close over the Christmas period, and our last night of training will be Thursday 8th December.

However, we will have an outing on Thursday 15th December for Drinks and Food at The Athol Arms starting at 7:30 pm.

We will be starting back after the holidays on Thursday 5th January 2023.

Our training times will be 7:30 to 9:30 pm until further notice.

Unfortunately, our hall booking has been changed by Cally Uni. We will try to get this changed back to our usual slot.

Several of our regular fencers competed in London's recent Commonwealth Fencing Championships 2022. This was a two-week event combining competitions for the Junior, Cadet, Senior and Veteran age categories - with additional competitions for the Para-fencing categories.

There were some exceptional performances for Scotland within the Veteran Team events, including Gold medals for the Veteran Women's Epee, Silver for the Veteran Men's Foil, and Bronze for Veteran Women's Sabre

We will not be training on Thursday 2nd June due to the Bank Holiday.

We will be holding a free introduction to fencing course at 7:00pm on Thursday 5th May. Bring a friend.

GWEFC are pleased to confirm that we are now open again without any restriction on numbers. 

We welcome all adult fencers of any ability and all weapons.

For people new to the sport, we recommend they attend one of our free Beginner's Nights.

In line with current Government guidance, we expect to be able to open for training at 7:30 pm on Thursday 27th January.
