Several of our regular fencers competed in London's recent Commonwealth Fencing Championships 2022. This was a two-week event combining competitions for the Junior, Cadet, Senior and Veteran age categories - with additional competitions for the Para-fencing categories.

There were some exceptional performances for Scotland within the Veteran Team events, including Gold medals for the Veteran Women's Epee, Silver for the Veteran Men's Foil, and Bronze for Veteran Women's Sabre

• Ruth Davidson - 33rd - 5th top Scot

Veteran Men's Team Epee

• Scotland (including Malcolm) finished 6th

Veteran Women's Team Foil

• Scotland Team (including Sheila, Helen & Ruth) finished 5th
