The Cumberland Open our closest non-Scottish event - only a quick trip across the border and the natives are usually friendly.  It is organised and run by Herdwick Fencing Club

This year's competition will held on the weekend of 15th/16th June 2013 at Austin Friars St Monica's School in Carlisle (CA3 9PB).

The competition is still quite new and entry numbers can be quite low, but there is usually large percentage of Scottish visitors.

Competition Details

• Format (subject to change): 2 rounds of Poules (both seeding) followed by direct elimination (no cut)
• Entry fee: £15 one weapon £25 two weapons.
• All fencers must be members of the BFA or appropriate governing body. Membership will be checked on the day.
